Effective July 1, 2017
The Court of Criminal Appeals of Texas has mandated electronic filing of criminal cases effective July 1, 2017.
Effective May 1, 2016
The new service charge for recording plats will be $150.00 for the first page and $144.00 for each additional page.
Attorneys and Pro Se Litigants
With the creation of the County Court at Law No. 5 and in compliance with an Order from the Administrative Judge for the County Courts at Law dated November 25, 2015 effective January 1, 2016 the County Court at Law No. 5 will be randomly assigned 20 percent of pending and disposed civil, probate, mental, misdemeanor and juvenile cases from County Court at Law No. 1, County Court at Law No. 2, County Court at Law No. 3 and County Court at Law No. 4.
Please be aware that you will need to confirm with the court the jurisdiction of your case(s) using the County Clerk’s online case search http://tylerpaw.co.fort-bend.tx.us/default.aspx.
Additionally, effective January 1, 2016, all new cases filed in the County Courts at Law will be filed randomly and evenly among the five County Courts.
