What kind of dog are you?
A:
When is your birthday?
A:
May 9, 2013. I was picked up as a stray by Animal Services and fostered into a loving home.
What is your favorite thing to do?
A:
I love playing with squeaky balls. I like to chase them and sometimes just to sit and chew on them.
How much do you weigh?
A:
It depends, in the summer I weigh about 70 pounds and in the winter I weigh about 75 - 85 pounds.
What is your favorite “people” snack?
A:
I love cooked sausage and hotdogs.
Do you have any brothers or sisters?
A:
Yes. I have two, one brother that is a King Charles Spaniel dog and one sister that is a German Shepherd dog.
Where should I go in case of a tornado?
A:
You should seek shelter immediately. Vehicles do not provide adequate shelter during a tornado. You should seek shelter in a sturdy building. The best place for you to shelter is in the interior room of a structure, on the bottom floor, a place without windows. In my house, we have a safe room that is made of concrete – it’s also a bathroom. We all go in the safe room and get into the bathtub when we hear tornado sirens or alerts on the news or weather radio. If there is no shelter available, lie flat in a ditch or low-lying area. Do not get under an overpass or bridge. You are safer in a low-flat place.
How much water should we have in our emergency shelter?
A:
You should have one gallon per person per day. If you have three days of supplies, that would be three gallons per person total. Don’t forget pets too. Smaller animals may not drink a lot but a big dog like me drinks about one gallon per day too.
Is there such a thing as first aid for a dog or cat?
A:
Yes. Just like people, we want to start giving aid to pets as soon as possible to help them in an emergency.
