Lieutenant Billy Guerrero III helps oversee the Criminal and Civil Divisions of the Precinct 3 Constable’s Office. The Criminal Division consist of 13 Contracts, a Warrant Division, Bailiff for the J.P. 3 office and a Reserve Deputy Program. The Contracts consist of 27 patrol Deputies that respond to calls for service in their assigned areas. The Warrant Division manages nearly 23,000 warrants equating to just over $6.6 million in outstanding fines. The Reserve Deputy program utilizes certified Peace Officers to assist in patrol functions, community events, civil process and an assortment of other functions within the Precinct 3 office.
Lieutenant Guerrero is a 4th Generation resident of Richmond and has strong ties within the community through his volunteer programs of Rosenberg Rotary and the Knights of Columbus-Council #2801 in Rosenberg. He began his career with the Ft. Bend County Sheriff’s Office as a Jailer and then moved to their Patrol Division. From there, he began with the Fort Bend County Constable Precinct 1 office where he began as a Contract Deputy and eventually promoted to the rank of Chief Deputy.
Lt. Guerrero graduated from Sam Houston State University with a B.A. in Criminal Justice. He is a graduate of the Gus George Law Enforcement Academy. Guerrero holds a certification as a Master Peace Officer and Civil Proficiency Officer from the Texas Commission on Law Enforcement (TCOLE).
