With the implementation of our new financial system we have developed a supplier database for smaller purchases (under $50,000), not currently on contract. We encourage suppliers to register their company for possible future contact by a Buyer. Those procurements involving an expenditure of $50,000 or more will be posted on the County website and can be downloaded by interested parties. Fort Bend County intends to expand the supplier database to include larger procurement opportunities in the near future.
Purchases of goods and services for $50,000 or less do not require a formal procurement process or public advertisement. These purchases are at the discretion of the assigned Buyer and the requirements of the end user. It is the responsibility of the Buyer to obtain adequate information and price quotes to evaluate the required products or services as the time frame and workload allow. The Buyer may request quotes verbally or in writing. Purchase results may be obtained from the Buyer.
