Constable Precinct 1
For over 33 years Ramon L. Ramirez has served the citizens of Richmond, Precinct 1 and Fort Bend County as a dedicated, caring and compassionate Law Enforcement Officer.
Ramon L. Ramirez a Richmond lifelong resident joined the Richmond Police Department in 1978 after receiving his Law Enforcement Certification training provided by Texas AM University. With the exception of a six month leave from the force in 1981 he worked as a Patrol Sergeant. Ramirez was promoted to the rank of Detective in the beginning of 1991. His promotion was based on his dedication to the City of Richmond. Also, his positive attitude toward the citizens he served, due to his dedication to law enforcement, his overall attitude and job performance.
Detective Ramirez was honored with the Officer of the Year Award at the 8th Annual Fort Bend County 100 Club. After 17 years with the Richmond Police Department he retired and began employment in the Private Sector.
In 2001, Ramirez became a Reserve Deputy Constable for Fort Bend County Constable Precinct 1 A. J. Dorr. In 2004, he came out of retirement and became a full time Deputy Constable in Constable Dorr’s office. There he was promoted to Corporal and then quickly promoted to the rank of Sergeant. In 2014 Constable Dorr named him Chief Deputy of Precinct 1 Constables’ Office.
On August 25, 2015 Ramon L. Ramirez was sworn in by County Judge Robert E. Hebert as Fort Bend County Constable Precinct 1. Constable Ramirez looks to continue his dedication to not only Precinct 1 residents, but to all of Fort Bend County.
