James S. Burnett

 James Burnett 2James S. Burnett is currently serving as the Division Supervisor for the Passport & Jury Division. James started at the District Clerk’s Office in January 2019 as a Civil Clerk in the 240th District Court and quickly rose through the ranks to become the youngest Division Supervisor in October of the same year.

As Division Supervisor, James oversees the weekly summoning of jurors to Fort Bend County’s District, County Court-at-Law, and Justice of the Peace courts as well as Grand Jury summoning and any Special Venire cases. James ensures that the Passport office is running smoothly and complies with all U.S Department of State guidelines for passport acceptance facilities.

James also serves as the Public Information Officer handling all Public Information Request and is the administrator over the District Clerk’s Office’s social media accounts ensuring that the District Clerk’s Office can reach the public in the quickest and most efficient way possible.
