Honorable LaTosha McGill Clayton, Associate Judge

LaTosha McGill Clayton is the Associate Judge for the 505th District Court in Fort Bend County, Texas. Mrs. Clayton attended Sam Houston State University and completed her undergraduate studies earning a Bachelor of Science in Biological Science with a Minor in Chemistry. Shortly after college, she became a middle school science teacher in the Fort Bend Independent School District, where she taught for five years. She continued her education at Thurgood Marshall School of Law, where she earned her Juris Doctorate Degree in 2004. Thereafter, Mrs. Clayton practiced law as a private attorney as the owner of The McGill Law Firm for seven years. Her areas of practice included family law, criminal law, and personal injury law. In 2012, Mrs. Clayton worked as a Legal Enforcement Attorney at the Harris County Domestic Relations Office for eight years, prior to joining the bench in 2021.

Mrs. Clayton is a member of the State Bar of Texas since May 2005 and is active in serving the community through her membership in the Burta Rhoads Raborn Inn of Court, Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. and Top Ladies of Distinction, Inc.
