David Marcaurele, Chief Deputy

The Chief Deputy serves as the Sheriff’s Chief Administrator for the Sheriff’s Office and as such he is responsible for all employees and operations.

Chief Marcaurele has over 34 years law enforcement experience. He began his career with the Wharton County Texas Sheriff’s Office and worked his way through the ranks from Jailer to Chief Deputy. After 10 years of service with Wharton County he went to the City of Sugar Land Texas Police Department. During his time with the Sugar Land Police he held the ranks of Officer, Sergeant, Lieutenant, and Captain. After over 20 years of service with the Sugar Land Police Department he accepted the position of Chief Deputy at the Fort Bend County Sheriff’s Office. In his career he has extensive administrative and operational experience in each service area of the Sheriff’s Office.

Chief Marcaurele has been married for over 32 years and he and his wife have four children and three grandchildren.
