Job Access and Reverse Commute (JARC)
The Job Access and Reverse Commute (JARC) Program was established to address the unique transportation challenges faced by individuals in low income areas seeking to obtain and maintain employment. The JARC transportation service provides transportation for residents either participating in educational development programs or working. Transportation is provided to and from suburban employment opportunities for residents of urbanized areas.
The JARC transportation service functions as a demand-response route that provides trips within Fort Bend County. The routes operate on a set schedule by reservation. In order to qualify for a scheduled demand-response ride on the JARC service the trip must be education or employment related. In order to schedule or cancel a ride on the JARC service you may call 866-751-TRIP between the hours of 8:00 AM and 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday. Reservations can be made 30 days or up to 1 business day in advance of the appointment time. Rides will be accepted on a “time and space” available basis. Be sure cancellations are received before 5:00pm on the prior business day of the scheduled trip. If passenger is not ready or decides not to go, the trip will be considered a “no show” trip. If a passenger receives six “no show” or "late-cancellation" trips in a ninety (90) day period, their services will results in a thirty (30) day suspension.
Trip fares are $1.00 per person each way.
