This course is divided into eight segments, nine for bilingual poll workers. Successful completion of this course is required for certification. Certification is valid for two years. Compensation for certification, a one-time fee of $50.00, will be paid after the certified individual works their first election. Introduction to Elections Basic Poll Worker Procedural Information
This self-paced on-line course will be available from October 2, 2017 through November 2, 2017. The on-line course is available to all newly assign poll workers and is generally considered a prerequisite for all other elections training.

Can I take the class anytime?
You can start anytime once we have provided you with the internet address, user name, and password.
How long does it take to complete the class?
The class is approximately 6 hours to complete. For your convenience, you may start and stop at any point within the class and come back to it at your leisure.
Will I get paid for the on-line class?

How will you notify me that I am able to take the class?
Once the Elections Department receives your registration information, you will be sent via email the internet address, user name, and password to take the class. If you do not have an email address, we will contact you by phone.
What do I need to take the class?
You will need a computer and internet access to take the on-line class.
The “on-line” class is an interactive class (meaning you must participate) giving the student an overview of the Election Day process. The course consists of a series of classes with interactive exercises and evaluations.
