No, you are welcome to come in at any time during our regular business hours of 8am– 5 pm, Monday through Friday (Missouri City office is closed daily from 12-1pm). We will accommodate your visit as time permits, but please be advised that scheduled appointments will receive first priority.

Unfortunately, we do not conduct over the phone interviews at this time. Under certain circumstances, home visits may be scheduled for those who are unable to visit an office.

Fort Bend County Social Services requires the bill and/or lease agreement to be in your name to receive services. However, if you have a unique situation, we encourage you to schedule an interview.

Once we assists, the reconnection process is handled by the utility company. The process can take up to forty-eight (48) hours in some situations.

No, we do not offer the Gold Card Program.

No, we do not have paper applications at any of our locations. However, our agency is able to assist with applying for or renewing benefits with the use of the YourTexasBenefits portal.
