There have been three confirmed cases of Ebola in Dallas, Texas. The initial case is deceased and the other two cases were healthcare workers involved in the health care of the initial case. Texas DSHS has sent several CDC health alerts to health care providers with information on symptoms to watch for in patients who have recently traveled to certain countries in West Africa. Texas DSHS is working closely with local public health officials and health care workers to monitor for this disease. The CDC has worked with airlines to identify individuals who might become ill while traveling.
