Re: Business Operations at the Fort Bend County Fire Marshal's Office
The Fort Bend County Fire Marshal's Office is still open for business. However, due to combating the spread of COVID-19, our normal practices and operations have slightly changed.
We will no longer accept credit cards. All permit payments must be made via check or money order.
Plans pick-up will only be allowed by appointment. Pick-ups will only be on Monday mornings, between the hours of 8am and 12pm. Public will need to call our office and schedule an appointment to pick-up plans.
Certificates of Compliance can be picked up daily by appointment. Public will need to schedule the pick-up time.
We will not schedule any in-person meetings in our office.
Fort Bend County Fire Marshal’s Office is making a change to the plans submittal process. An added benefit of this change is that plans can be submitted 24 hours a day. Plans will now only be submitted by inserting them into a drop off container that is located in front of our office. Below lists the requirements that you need to complete when dropping off plans or paying permit fees:
Any additional fees should be submitted in the same manner
Our clerks will then receive and process your plans submittal and/or fee payment. You will then receive an e-mail with a receipt of your submission. To schedule an inspection, or if you have any questions, please call our office at (281) 238-1500.
