About the District Clerk's Office
The District Clerk's Office is an integral part of the function of the district courts as provided by Article 5, Section 9 of the Texas Constitution. The district clerk performs the Constitutional duties as registrar, recorder, and custodian of all court pleadings, instruments, and papers that are part of any legal cause of action in any district court.The clerk's office is the nerve center of the district courts, the link between the courts and the people, as well as the heart of a large network that provides vital information to other agencies and offices.
Effective July 1, 2026, the Fort Bend County District Clerk's Office will discontinue the use of the Case Filing Drop Box located near the steps of the Justice Center.

New E-Certify Service Now Available
Effective June 22, 2026, the Fort Bend County District Clerk, Beverley McGrew Walker, is proud to introduce Clerk E-Certify—a new and improved way to obtain certified copies online, designed for speed, convenience, and accessibility at the click of a button.
With E-Certify, users can preview case documents (up to 50 pages) prior to purchasing copies and receive certified copies the same day they are needed—without the wait. Attorneys and parties to the case may also purchase unredacted documents by securely logging in under the Attorney and Party portal.
Please note that access to certain case types and documents may be restricted from viewing or purchasing in accordance with applicable laws, court orders, standing orders, or confidentiality requirements.
