Postal Delays Impact on Property Tax Payments

The Fort Bend County Tax Assessor-Collector's office wishes to inform all taxpayers that our office processes payments according to the postmarked date stamped by the postal service.  Per Tax Code Sec 1.08, payments that receive an official postmarked date of January 31st or prior will be considered a timely payment regardless of when it is received by the Tax Office.

Our team remains committed to providing the highest level of service to all Fort Bend County residents.  In the event payments are received late, our office will ensure that the correct posting date is applied to each payment.

For any questions or concerns please contact our office at (281) 341-3710 or by email at [email protected]  Taxpayer can also visit our website at www.fbctx.gov/taxoffice to verify if payment has posted their account.

Respectfully,

Carmen P. Turner MPA, PCC, CTOP
