Cemeteries are often known by multiple names. The following list includes all the cemetery names that are currently known in Fort Bend County.   They are designated by Main Name and State No., FB-C(XXX), or Alternate Name.

Most cemeteries are not associated with a conventional street address, however we have provided maps and coordinates to their respective locations.

Historical Commission

History gives the present its perspective, and the future its guide. Its importance is immense!

The Fort Bend County Historical Commission is charged with encouraging and assisting historical awareness and appreciation within the county. Additionally, it institutes and carries out a continuing survey of the county’s historical buildings, sites, cemeteries, archeological sites, both public and private, and other historical features within the county. It assists and advises organizations and individuals in the process of application for Texas Historical Markers. It reports to the Fort Bend County Commissioners Court and the Texas Historical Commission.

Commission members are appointed by the Commissioners’ Court for a term of two years starting in January of odd numbered years. Commission meetings are held on the third Tuesday of the month in the months of February, May, August, and November.
