FBCSO Deputies Arrest One for Murder, In Search for Other Suspects

PRESS RELEASE Fort Bend County Sheriff’s Office SHERIFF ERIC FAGAN MEDIA CONTACT: Michelle Domengoni 281-341-8738 office 832-278-9893 cell michelle.domengoni@fbctx.gov | fbcsheriff.org FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE Dec. 1, 2023 FBCSO Deputies Arrest One for Murder, In Search for Other Suspects (RICHMOND, FORT BEND COUNTY, TEXAS) On Sunday, October 29, 2023, at approximately 7:24 pm, Fort Bend County Sheriff’s Office Deputies were dispatched to a convenience store parking lot in the 8600 block of FM 1464 Rd in Richmond, Fort Bend County, Texas in reference to a shooting that resulted in a homicide and aggravated assault investigation. When deputies arrived, they found a deceased 17- year-old male who had been shot to death and an adult female who also sustained gunshot injuries. Information learned through the investigation was that a suspect vehicle drove up to the victim’s vehicle with a suspect shooting both victims and then fleeing the area. The female victim was treated at the Houston Medical Center for her injuries. Pursuant to the ongoing investigation of this case, one of the suspects involved was identified as Jahlil Rainey, a 19-year-old male from Houston, Texas, who was arrested on October 31, 2023, on a Murder Warrant with a $750,000 bond.
