Keepsake Marriage Certificate

The Honorable Laura Richard is offering a Keepsake Marriage Certificate to individuals who have previously purchased a Formal marriage license from the Fort Bend County Clerk’s office. The Keepsake Marriage Certificate is NOT a legal document, but a beautiful new design to showcase and commemorate one of life's greatest events. This document is available for $25.00 at all County Clerk locations and polysleeves are available for an additional $2.00 to protect each issued certificate. 

Drop Box Services Available for County Clerk Business

The County Clerk’s Office now provides 24-Hour drop box services at two of our locations. For official public records, births, deaths and marriages, the drop box is located at the Travis Building beside the Mail Room at 301 Jackson Street (corner of 3rd and Liberty), Richmond Texas 77469. For court filings and fees, the drop box is located at the Justice Center beside the handicap access ramp at 1422 Eugene Heimann Circle, Richmond Texas 77469. Please ensure that your request is securely packaged in an envelope with appropriate payment when applicable and valid return address. County Clerk Sienna Office Re-Opens!
Beginning Monday, April 5 2021, the County Clerk's Sienna Annex office will be open to the public and resume the service hours of 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM.

  • Visit https://certifiedpayments.net/index.aspx?BureauCode=4266361
  • Follow the directions on the Certified Payments website to make a payment only for fines and fees administered by the County Clerk.
  • You can also use a credit card to charge for services in person or by telephone at (866) 549-1010. Enter Bureau Code 4266361 when making a charge, if prompted.

FREE Special Wedding Event!
Let's tie the knot, Fort Bend!

Twenty lucky couples will be contacted to confirm their reservation and then join County Clerk Richard, Judge Becerra, and Judge Hrbacek for the free ceremony on Valentine's Day, Saturday February 14, 2026.

 

Steps to Participate in the Vows on Valentine's Day Event:

  • Couples must complete the marriage license application online and have purchased their marriage license at any Fort Bend County Clerk location before filling out the interest form to be considered. The marriage license must be valid on the day of the wedding, February 14, 2026. The cost of a marriage license is $71.00 or the fee may be reduced to $11.00 with valid proof of state approved premarital education course.
  • Fill out our Interest Form and submit your information.
  • A County Clerk representative will confirm your RSVP.
  • If the list becomes full, we will add your name to our waiting list.

 

Please Note: You must have your marriage license purchased with the Fort Bend County Clerk's office before you will be added to the list of attendees getting married on Valentine's Day.
