Clerk E-Certify provides two fast and easy ways to verify and authenticate both your printed copies and your electronic certificates that have been issued by the District Clerk's Office.

Enter the Unique Reference Code from the original record and we will return you the authentication results.

Users may upload an electronic certificate file and we will perform an automated authentication.

Purchase Certified Documents Online

To purchase Electronically Certified Documents, select the “Online Document Search” link below. If the requested document(s) are not available online, you may submit a Copy Request Form [PDF] or obtain copies in person at the District Clerk’s Office.

Due to statutory requirements, no fees will be charged for copies of documents in the following cases:

• Protective Order cases where you are the applicant, pursuant to Texas Family Code § 81.002; and
• Cases in which you have filed an Affidavit of Inability to Pay, pursuant to Texas Rules of Civil Procedure Rule 145

To obtain copies from these cases, a formal request must be submitted using the approved Copy Request Form [PDF], or you may obtain copies in person at the District Clerk’s Office.

All requests must comply with applicable procedures for accessing sensitive or restricted documents.

Online Document Search

How to Purchase Electronic Certified Documents Online:

1. Accept the Terms of Service to start the search process.
2. Select “Court Cases”.
3. Perform a case records search by name or case number to locate the case.
   1. If you are an attorney or a party involved in the case, please select "Attorney & Party" and sign in using the email address associated with the case you are inquiring about. This ensures secure access to case information.
4. Scroll and select the desired case by selecting the Action icon.
5. To preview the case document(s) select “Available”.
6. You can preview the first 50 pages of each document available.
7. Select the checkbox to the left of the desired document and select “Add to Cart”.
8. To purchase, proceed to checkout by selecting “View Cart”.
9. Perform a final review of your selected document(s), then “Proceed to Checkout”.
10. Upon completion of purchase, you will receive an email from FortBendCountyDistrictClerkNoReply@fbctx.gov with links to the certified document(s).

The amount of time it will take to deliver the Electronic Certified Document(s) will depend on your email server. There may be a brief wait time before receiving an email to your inbox.
 

Electronic Certified Documents Overview

The Fort Bend County District Clerk is now offering Electronic Certified Court Documents for purchase on the Clerk's website. Each electronic certified document uses advanced encrypted features to produce a tamper proof electronic certified document that will include a unique District Clerk digital signature.

With Electronic Certified Documents, local governments are taking steps to serve a digital society and tackle document fraud while increasing efficiency.

Beverley McGrew Walker, Fort Bend County District Clerk, is hosting a special Passport Fair BY APPOINTMENT ONLY as a community service and in an effort to make it easier and more convenient to apply for a U.S. passport.

Appointments are being accepted for the Passport Fair 
 
(Limited Walk-ins will be accepted at this passport fair).

NO CASH OR CHECK PAYMENTS WILL BE ACCEPTED FOR THE EXECUTION FEE AT THE PASSPORT FAIR. 
 
Note: *All applicants must appear in person (including minors). Minors under the age of 16 must appear with both parents. If one parent is not available, a DS-3053 form or a notarized authorization letter from the absent parent and a copy of his/her identification (front and back) is required.
