Purchase Certified Documents Online
To purchase Electronically Certified Documents, select the “Online Document Search” link below. If the requested document(s) are not available online, you may submit a [PDF] or obtain copies in person at the District Clerk’s Office.
Due to statutory requirements, no fees will be charged for copies of documents in the following cases:
- Protective Order cases where you are the applicant, pursuant to Texas Family Code § 81.002; and
- Cases in which you have filed an Affidavit of Inability to Pay, pursuant to Texas Rules of Civil Procedure Rule 145
To obtain copies from these cases, a formal request must be submitted using the approved [PDF], or you may obtain copies in person at the District Clerk’s Office.
All requests must comply with applicable procedures for accessing sensitive or restricted documents.
How to Purchase Electronic Certified Documents Online:
- Accept the Terms of Service to start the search process.
- Select “Court Cases”.
- Perform a case records search by name or case number to locate the case.
- If you are an attorney or a party involved in the case, please select "Attorney & Party" and sign in using the email address associated with the case you are inquiring about. This ensures secure access to case information.
- Scroll and select the desired case by selecting the Action icon.
- To preview the case document(s) select “Available”.
- You can preview the first 50 pages of each document available.
- Select the checkbox to the left of the desired document and select “Add to Cart”.
- To purchase, proceed to checkout by selecting “View Cart”.
- Perform a final review of your selected document(s), then “Proceed to Checkout”.
- Upon completion of purchase, you will receive an email from FortBendCountyDistrictClerkNoReply@fbctx.gov with links to the certified document(s).
The amount of time it will take to deliver the Electronic Certified Document(s) will depend on your email server. There may be a brief wait time before receiving an email to your inbox.
