You may ask, what is that? Gymkhana is a sport with events designed to display precise, controlled actions and teamwork between horse and rider. Gymkhana events provide training techniques so that both the horse and rider can achieve their best performance.
The Play Day will be held on Sunday, December 14th, 2014 at the Fort Bend County Fairgrounds “OD Tucker Arena”. Books open at 8:30 AM. Play day begins at 10:00 AM. $10.00/ horse per event (multiple horses ok). $4.00/ horse per event for lead line classes. Events will include: Barrel Back Through, Potato Race, Speed Ball, Precision Barrels, Butterfly, and Ribbon Race. Rules and diagrams will be posted on the grounds. Negative Coggins required and no stallions allowed.
Awards for High Point in each age group except lead line. The same horse must be used in all events to qualify for high point. Ribbon Race will not be included in the high point calculation. The 4 age groups are: 8 & under, 9-13, 14-19 and 20+.
