Notice is given that the Commissioners Court of Fort Bend County, Texas, will conduct a hearing on Tuesday, September 1, 2015 at 1:00 PM in Commissioners Courtroom, 401 Jackson St., 2nd Floor, Richmond, Texas 77469 on the proposed Fort Bend County Game Room Regulations [PDF].
The Regulations conform with Chapter 234 of the Texas Local Government Code, as amended by SB 1210, 84th Legislature, Regular Session, which states that the Commissioners Court of a county with a population of 550,000 or more and is adjacent to a county that has a population of four million or more; by order may regulate the operation of Game Rooms to promote the public health, safety, and welfare, according to Section 231.133 of the Texas Local Government Code.
