EDWARD BYRNE MEMORIAL JUSTICE ASSISTANCE GRANT

FY 2021 NOTICE OF PUBLIC MEETING 

The Edward Byrne Memorial Justice Assistance Grant (JAG) Program (34 U.S.C.§10153(a)(3)) is the primary provider of federal criminal justice funding to state and local jurisdictions. JAG funds support all components of the criminal justice system, from multi-jurisdictional drug and gang task forces to crime prevention and domestic violence programs, courts, corrections, treatment, and justice information sharing initiatives. JAG-funded projects may address crime through the provision of services directly to individuals and/or communities and by improving the effectiveness and efficiency of criminal justice systems, processes and procedures.

A public meeting will be held on Tuesday, August 3, 2021, at 1:00 p.m., at the Fort Bend County Commissioners Court on the second floor of 401 Jackson Street in Richmond, Texas, to receive comments from the public regarding the County’s application for funds in the amount of $64,034.00.
