Elections Administration Office Closed July 30 through August 1, 2018
To better serve the voters of Fort Bend County, the Office of Elections Administration will be closed Monday July 30, 2018 through Wednesday August 1, 2018 to allow departmental staff to attend Election Law training conducted by the Texas Secretary of State.
The office will resume normal hours on Thursday, August 2, 2018.

This community celebration will feature local museums and cultural organizations, historical re-enactors portraying figures such as Thomas Jefferson and Davy Crockett, musical and dance performances, hands-on activities, and much more. Turning 250 will take place just down the street from the annual Pecan Harvest Festival, giving visitors the opportunity to enjoy both events and experience a full day of history, culture and family-friendly fun in historic Richmond.

America 250 Birthday Party
Event Description
A beautiful display of 250 current U.S. flags with historical fact tags for each year attached to each flag. In addition, a banner with the Declaration of Independence will be displayed. We will also have multiple historical characters like Betsy Ross, George Washington, Abraham Lincoln, Lady Liberty, and more. We will have yard games, cookies, lemonade, as well as patriotic music for attendees. At 10 am, we will have a brief ceremony. Sugar Land Mayor Carol McCutcheon and State Representative Suleman Lalani will provide remarks.
