The Drone Program supports the Patrol Division with deployment at various calls for service, including search and rescue missions, monitoring crowd control, surveillance of active shooter events, as well as monitoring and evaluating severe weather conditions. The unit consists of 17 pilots that are FAA Part 107 licensed.

The program uses software that allows the Sheriff’s Office scene commanders the ability to live stream video footage from various scenes and multiple drones in real-time. The program is equipped with the following: three Mavic Pro Platinum drones, the Matric 210 with thermal imagery, and the addition of the Autel drone that is also capable of thermal imagery and the Lecia RTK.
