Medicine Announce Clinical Training Region at OakBend Medical Center in Fort Bend

County (FORT BEND, TX) - The Ibn Sina Foundation is pleased to announce, along with the Sam Houston State University - College of Osteopathic Medicine (COM), the establishment of the Ibn Sina Clinical Training Region at OakBend Medical Center in Fort Bend County. This collaboration marks a significant milestone in advancing medical education and healthcare services in the region.

The press conference will be held on Tuesday, March 12, at 9:30 a.m. at OakBend Medical Center Lobby, 1705 Jackson St., Richmond, TX 77469. Chairman Rupani of the Ibn Sina Foundation, representatives from Sam Houston State University, OakBend Medical Center, Fort Bend County Judge KP George, and Fort Bend County Precinct 4 Commissioner Dexter McCoy will be present to discuss the significance of this partnership and its impact on medical education and community healthcare to this region. The Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree conferred by the 38 osteopathic medical schools in the United States is equivalent to the Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree. Graduates with a DO degree have full medical and surgical practicing rights in all 50 US states, enabling them to provide comprehensive healthcare services to
patients.
