Elections Administration Office Closed July 30 through August 1, 2018

To better serve the voters of Fort Bend County, the Office of Elections Administration will be closed Monday July 30, 2018 through Wednesday August 1, 2018 to allow departmental staff to attend Election Law training conducted by the Texas Secretary of State.

The office will resume normal hours on Thursday, August 2, 2018.

Payment Arrangements
If your plea is “Guilty” or “No Contest” or you were found guilty after a trial, you can request 30 days to pay your fine and costs without being penalized with a $15.00 payment plan fee. After 30 days, the court is required to add the $15.00 payment plan fee to each case.

Failure to pay will result in a capias warrant issue for your arrest plus a $50.00 warrant fee added to each warrant. There will also be an additional $10.00 FTA Program fee if the court reports you to the Department of Public Safety for nonpayment. You may also be denied renewal of your Texas Driver’s License.

The Justice of the Peace Precinct 1, Place 1 will accept only cash (in person only), money orders, and credit card in the form of Visa, Mastercard, American Express and Discover. There will be a convenience fee charged for credit card service. Visit www.officialpayments.com, and enter Court’s Jurisdiction Code: 6335 or call (800) 272-9829, select option 3. You must have your 11-digit case ID and the total amount due from the Court.
