Important Notice


Recognizing the need to ensure the health and safety of litigants, attorneys, court staff, judges, and other individuals entering the 458th courtroom, we will implement the following protective measures: FACE COVERINGS ARE ENCOURAGED





Please have a seat on the benches outside the courtroom and you will be called when to enter for your case.  

ONLY the defendant may enter courtroom when called.

  • If you do not have an attorney or he/she is not present, the bailiff will call your name when to enter the courtroom.


  • Please do not enter courtroom with your client
  • Please confer with your client outside of the courtroom and foyer if they are present.
  • ATTORNEYS ONLY may enter the courtroom and have a seat behind the bar in the gallery, you will be called up one at a time to approach the prosecutor and/or Judge on your client’s case and/or to reset with the coordinator.
  • Please do not approach the prosecutors, court reporter, coordinator, clerk, or probation officer until called by the court to do so.


  • Only inmates that have a plea arranged in advance with the court will be brought over from the jail.*There is a MAX capacity of 5 inmates per docket that can be brought over.*
  • Please notify the court by email if you need your client brought over for a plea a week prior to the scheduled docket.

This is to ensure that social distancing and safety of all is being observed while in the courtroom.




Due to COVID-19 many of you are part of the vulnerable population. Individuals who are over 65 and individuals with serious underlying health conditions, such as high blood pressure, chronic lung disease, obesity, asthma, and those whose immune systems are compromised such as by chemotherapy for cancer or other conditions requiring such therapy are considered to be vulnerable populations. If you are part of this vulnerable population, please contact the Court Coordinator by email at or by phone at 832-471-4905 to advise the court regarding your need for special accommodations and a specialized docket to ensure your continued safety.
