Judge Craig Priesmeyer was appointed by the Honorable Judge Steve Rogers on January 10, 2025 after serving as an Assistant District Attorney with the Fort Bend County District Attorney’s Office for 9 years. As a prosecutor, Judge Priesmeyer handled cases involving Child Abuse, Internet Crimes Against Children, Human Trafficking, Sex Offender Registration, Animal Cruelty, and Domestic Violence before ultimately being promoted to Deputy Chief Assistant District Attorney.

He graduated from South Texas College of Law where he was a member of the nationally ranked trial advocacy program where he excelled in both Moot and Mock Trial competitions. His commitment to legal education is highlighted by his continued dedication to teaching and training future lawyers in trial advocacy at his alma mater.

Judge Priesmeyer has a deep connection to the community, having grown up in the very county he serves. With a commitment to justice and integrity, Judge Priesmeyer brings a wealth of legal expertise and a passion for public service to the bench. His journey to this role has been shaped by years of dedicated work in the legal field, where he has consistently demonstrated a deep understanding of the law and a commitment to fair and impartial decision-making.

As the Associate Judge, Craig Priesmeyer is honored to serve the citizens of Fort Bend County and uphold the values of the 268th District Court, ensuring fair and equal justice for all members of the community.
