Title Service Information
All vehicle title service transactions performed at the Fort Bend County Tax Office must be in accordance with Texas Transportation Code Chapter 520, Subchapter E. The Transportation Code refers to any company or individual that for compensation directly or indirectly assists other person(s) in obtaining vehicle title documents by submitting, transmitting, or sending applications for vehicle title documents to the appropriate government agency.
Title service companies and representatives must register at the Fort Bend County Tax Office Richmond location, 1317 Eugene Heimann Circle, Richmond, TX 77469. Registration is good for one (1) year and must be renewed annually. Please read the proposed Fort Bend County Tax-Assessor-Collector Rules and Regulations for Motor Vehicle Title Services.
All Motor Vehicle Title Service Owners and Representatives (Runners) doing business at the Fort Bend County Tax Office are required to present a Fort Bend County Tax Office issued I.D. Badge.
