HSEM Training & Exercise Program
The Fort Bend County Homeland Security & Emergency Management (HSEM) Training Program plans, facilitates, and coordinates an average of two training sessions per month for county personnel, partners, and local jurisdictions. These sessions strengthen emergency planning and management skills while preparing participants to fulfill Emergency Operations Center (EOC) responsibilities. HSEM collaborates with a wide range of partners—including EOC staff, private sector organizations, non-profits, and regional response agencies—to design and deliver targeted training aligned with FEMA and NIMS standards. Courses cover topics from disaster response and recovery to new technologies and emerging threats, ensuring participants remain ready for evolving challenges. The Program not only builds essential skills and introduces new tools, but also reinforces collaboration and resilience, with principles further applied and tested during HSEM-led exercises.
