History of the ATC

The Fort Bend Anti-Trafficking Collective was formed in 2025 to bring together professionals from area agencies to collaborate in the fight against human trafficking. These agencies include local, state, and federal law enforcement, state and federal prosecutors, victim service providers, governmental and non-governmental organizations, faith-based groups and more.

In 2024, the Department of Justice, Office for Victims of Crime (OVC) awarded the ATC funding under the Enhanced Collaborative Model solicitation to assist in the development of the ATC. The goals of the ATC are to identify victims of all types of human trafficking within Fort Bend County, develop an effective and sustainable multi-disciplinary task force that proactively investigates and prosecutes sex and labor trafficking cases at the local, state, and federal levels, and implement victim-centered approaches to address the individualized needs of identified victims through comprehensive services.

On January 27, 2025, United Against Human Trafficking and the Fort Bend County District Attorney’s Office launched the Fort Bend Anti-Trafficking Collective.

Communities get the law enforcement they insist on, and we get the assignment.  Understand the scope and depth of our commitment to make our community safe. Traffickers and criminals, we’ve drawn the line–do not cross it or we will relentlessly pursue and prosecute you with everything we’ve got.
