Commuter Services to Downtown
Fort Bend County Public Transportation is collaborating with Central Houston Inc. and the Houston Galveston Area Council to introduce transportation services from Sugar Land to Downtown. We are thrilled to announce that our new buses have been delivered and our team is working diligently to ensure that our soft launch on March 4, 2024, goes smoothly. We look forward to having you on board!
Westpark Park and Ride
On January 29, 2024, Fort Bend Transit had the groundbreaking of their Westpark Park and Ride. The Park and Ride facility is located on the westbound frontage road of Westpark Toll Road (FM 1093) near Cinco Ranch, about 10 miles to the southwest of the Energy Corridor. Currently, the county is in the process of planning its services and exploring the possibilities of introducing a new commuter bus service that will connect the Westpark Park and Ride facility to the Energy Corridor and other employment sites. The construction of the bus service is expected to be finished by November 2024.
