Reservation Window Change

After careful review and benchmarking against industry standards, Fort Bend Transit has made the decision to revise the reservation window.  Effective Monday, February 3, 2025, reservations can only be made up to 10 business days in advance, a change from the current 30-calendar-day window.  This adjustment ensures efficiency and consistency in our services. The Passenger Guidelines will be updated to reflect this change, pending final approval.  We sincerely thank you for being a valued customer and appreciate your understanding and acceptance of this update

Commuter

John Freeman Stop Notice

Due to the City of Houston project, beginning May 18 through August 31, 2026 multiple lanes of Moursand Street and Bertner Avenue will be closed. All Fort Bend Transit Bus stops will remain OPEN. Riders may experience delays due to heavy traffic congestion in the area.

Important Notice to our Customers

Your safety is our highest priority!

All commuter passengers are required to wait at the designated pick up/drop off locations for their ride.  This policy was adopted to prevent potential accidents or other safety concerns such as passengers chasing buses, running across parking lot parking aisles and through-ways, running in front of/behind or alongside buses while they are stationary and in motion.

Over the last few weeks, these exact behaviors have been witnessed at our park and rides and must be addressed.

Our bus operators WILL NOT stop to pick up passengers who are not at the designated pick up location at the scheduled time.  We are sure you understand that if a rider was to collide with a bus, the bus would win.  That really isn’t how you or we want to start our day.

Please be mindful of buses and other moving vehicles in the park and ride area.  Please be respectful of other riders and arrive on time for your scheduled departure.

For more specific information, our passengers guidelines are posted on our website for your review.  They clearly define the responsibilities of both operator and passenger, passenger interaction with drivers, passenger conduct on-board vehicles and within County facilities and filing compliments or complaints.  Passengers who present a threat to the safe conduct of our operations or themselves will be removed from vehicles and County facilities.

Safety means zero accidents.  We want you all to arrive home safely.

Thank you for choosing Fort Bend Transit for your transit needs!

Notice

Please do not park your vehicle in coned off areas of the AMC park and ride locations. These areas are coned off to provide ample room for the transit vehicles to safely enter and exit the area. Parking in these areas put your vehicle at risk of being damaged. Parking in coned off areas or moving the cones is prohibited. Thank you for your cooperation.

As we begin our NEW Commuter Service to Downtown Houston on Monday March 4th 2024, the pickup location will be the SHARED tent marked for Downtown and Greenway/Galleria Transfer.  Please refrain from parking vehicles adjacent to the tent to allow for safe and easy boarding of the buses.
