Buying a new house or a new car, changing careers, or perhaps refinancing a loan? The company or person you are working with may ask for a verification of employment to make that happen.

Human Resources is your source for all verifications of employment regardless of what department an employee works in.

Submit requests to humanresources@fbctx.gov or by fax to 281-341-8615.

Though we attempt to do the request as soon as possible, please allow for a 24-48 hour turnaround.

Public Service Loan Forgiveness (PSLF)

The PSLF Program forgives the remaining balance on your Student Loans after you have made 120 qualifying monthly payments under a qualifying repayment plan while working full-time for a qualifying employer.


As local government, Fort Bend County is considered a qualifying employer.  If you have a PSLF form you need completed, submit it to humanresources@fbctx.gov or fax it to 281-341-8615.  Please allow 24-48 hours for processing.

  • Inform veterans, dependents and survivors about benefits from the Department of Veterans Affairs. 
  • Home visits to the elderly and disabled. 
  • Completion of various VA forms from education to burial benefit

Youth Employment Program

2026 Youth Employment Program
June 8, 2026 - July 31, 2026

The Fort Bend County Youth Employment Program (YEP) is an eight-week program sponsored by Fort Bend County.  The program provides community youth the opportunity to learn real-life work experience.  The program is open to youth ages 16 - 21 years old, who reside within Fort Bend County.  The Youth Employment Program Coordinator supervises all youth workers through regular visits, facilitates training, mentorship, offers support and problem solving to youth as needed. 

  • Must be 16–21 years old
  • Reside within Fort Bend County
  • Available to work up to 40 hours per week
  • Must be available during an 8-week timeframe

We are happy to announce that Fort Bend County is now accepting applicants for the 2025 Summer Youth Employment Program. The last day to accept applications is Friday, March 3, 2025.

Since 2019, Fort Bend County has employed nearly 1,000 16-to-21-year-old students and young adults in the Summer Youth Employment Program, also known as YEP, which provides employment for youth during the summer.

In Fort Bend County, our Summer Youth Employment Program (YEP) addresses a broad range of opportunities requiring various skills. Through YEP, we aim to help youth gain the abilities and training necessary to be successful and exemplify the best in youth development.

YEP imparts productive workplace skills, builds teamwork, requires effective time management, and instills positive self-esteem while helping youth and young adults gain essential skills and access to resources necessary to effectively navigate professional employment from youth to adulthood and their careers.
