You can now apply for routine service and expect to receive a passport in 6-8 weeks. You also have the option of paying an additional $60 for expedited service to receive your passport in 2-3 weeksIf you apply or renew now, you may experience significant delays for the return of your citizenship evidence documents (such as birth certificates or naturalization certificates).
