2019 Property appraisal notices have been mailed out by the Fort Bend Central Appraisal District.  If you have not received yours, please contact the FBCAD at 281-344-8623.

The last day to protest your residence homestead property value is

MAY 16, 2019


ALERT:  Regular mail postage will increase to 55ȼ on January 27, 2019.  Please be sure you have adequate postage on your envelope if you are mailing your property tax payment.  Payments which are received late because they were returned to you due to insufficient postage will be assessed penalty and interest.  Being unaware of the postage increase is not grounds for waiving penalty and interest.




We are unable to accept PIN debit card transactions. You may use a debit card but it will be run as a credit transaction and a credit transaction service fee will be charged. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause you. We are working with our vendors to correct the situation and hope to be able to accept PIN debit cards in the future. (Effective: January 5, 2016 and until further notice.)

The Tax Assessor-Collector provides friendly, efficient and professional tax collection services for taxpayers of Fort Bend County as well as tax research and information referral.  As an agent for the state, the Tax Assessor-Collector also collects automobile/truck and trailer taxes, vehicle registration fees and beer/wine & liquor fees.
