Landmark is a community center open Monday through Friday from 8 am - 8 pm. We serve the community through our daily programming first, then have occasional events through the county, city, school district, etc. to help reach and assist the community. These events take priority over all other inquiries, as this is the purpose of our facility. But there are times when programming, and a lack of community events opens up spaces for private businesses or individuals to use the space for their own use.

Please note,

  • No alcohol is permitted on the premises, even for private events.
  • No food is allowed on the gym floor but can be served in the Flex or Lounge areas. Each of those spaces can fit around 50 people depending on your set up.
  • The facility is one large area with different spaces. These areas do not have doors or even complete walls to provide privacy for private events. There are no outdoor spaces.
  • Private events are only booked as early as 3 months in advance. For example, if you want to book for an event in November, contact our office on or after September 1st, when November opens up to the public. The opportunity to rent cannot open before that unless you are one of the priority events listed above.

Do you want to rent a space here at Landmark?

1. If you are interested in renting, please come by first to see if the space we have will suit your needs. Make sure you are registered.

2. Once you know the space you would like to use, make sure you also communicate

  • how many people you will have at your event and
  • the activities you would like to participate in. Food is not allowed on the gym floor and no alcohol is permitted in the building.
  • When you know what date you would like to have your event, see if the date is available by contacting the office at 832-471-5200 or emailing charis.prendergast2@fortbendcountytx.gov with the details listed above.

3. If the space is available for your request, there will be forms and payment that will need to be completed before the space is reserved. If you have not paid or received permission from the Commissioner's Court for community use, the space is not reserved for you.

4. You are responsible for the set up, clean up, and return of rented materials to their original space. Include this time in your rental slot.

Individuals who do not take care of the facility as required will not be permitted to utilize Landmark in the future. Please remember we are a community living room. Respect, honor, and kindness are always welcome.
