The Fort Bend County Juvenile Probation Department, in partnership with the Texana MHMR center, developed and implemented the Texas Correctional Office on Offenders with Medical or Mental Impairments (TCOOMMI) Turnaround Program.

TCOMMI is an intensive and community based treatment program to meet the needs of youth who are diagnosed with mental health issues normally considered severe enough for placement consideration. Families receive a variety of mental health services and support to equip them with a higher sense of self-sufficiency within the community. Services include psychiatric and psychological services, intensive home and school based interventions including individual and family counseling, drug education, skills training, family supports, as well as access to community programs and resources.
