CLINICAL LABORATORY REPORTING AND SPECIMEN SUBMISSION GUIDELINES

Laboratories are requested to follow the guidelines specified in the Texas Administrative Code, TITLE 25, PART 1, CHAPTER 97, SUBCHAPTER A, RULE §97.3, for submitting specimens and laboratory test results suggestive of specified diseases listed in Fort Bend County Reportable Diseases and Conditions.
Laboratory findings for these diseases are those that satisfy the most recent communicable disease surveillance case definitions established by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention . All laboratory notifications are acquired in confidence. The confidentiality of patient information is always protected.
