Captain Josh Dale is the Commander of the Narcotics Division, which includes both undercover operations and uniformed highway interdiction. In his position Captain Dale oversees all day-to-day narcotics related operations which include the drug enforcement through complex long term investigations, the execution of search and arrest warrants and disruption of drug trafficking originations through highway interdiction operations in the incorporated and unincorporated areas of Fort Bend County. The Narcotics Task Force is successful by its cooperative approach to drug enforcement through the partnership of the Sheriff’s Office and Police Departments located in Fort Bend County.
Captain Dale is a dedicated law enforcement professional with over 20 years of service devoted to Fort Bend County. Captain Dale began his tenure with the Sheriff’s Office in the Detention Bureau and has also served in the Criminal Investigative Division and Patrol Division as a supervisor. Captain Dale is an honorably discharged veteran of the United States Coast Guard and the Texas Army National Guard.
Captain Dale is a graduate of the Drug Enforcement Administration Drug Unit Commanders Academy (Class #71) located in Quantico, Virginia and holds certifications as a Master Peace Officer with the Texas Commission on Law Enforcement (TCOLE).
