Support Service Division
Captain Robin D. Frazier is the Commander of the Support Service Division. In this role, he is responsible for the coordination and supervision of the Budget and Procurement Section, Computer/Technology Section, Fleet Management, Inventory Control and Facilities that comprise this Division. The Support Service’s mission is to provide the Sheriff’s Office, its divisions and personnel, the very best level of technical support in all areas of service.
Captain Frazier’s law enforcement career spans 43 years, which includes 30 plus years as a state trooper with the Texas Department of Public Safety. He brings a vast array of law enforcement experience starting with one year in drivers’ license service, 26 years as a highway patrolman, and five years as a commercial vehicle enforcement trooper. With the exception of one year, all of his state time was spent in Fort Bend County, where he was born. He rose through the ranks of Trooper I, II, III, IV,V to Senior Corporal, in one of the largest Sergeant areas in the State of Texas. He was a member of the Houston Regional Civil Disturbance Management Team, Region II Honor Guard and has instructed at the DPS academy in Firearms training and concealed handgun classes. He was a Death Investigator for Fort Bend County for one year.
Captain Frazier received the Director’s Citation in 1998 as well as the Houston 100’s Club officer of the Year in 1986 and 1998. Retiring from the Texas DPS in February of 2005, Captain Frazier was appointed to the position of Lieutenant with Precinct #4 Constables Office in Fort Bend County. During that time he attended and graduated from the Law Enforcement Institute of Texas’s (LEMIT) Constables Leadership College, Class #2 at Sam Houston State University.
While serving at Precinct #4 he was responsible for supervising four Sergeants, two Homeowner Association contracts, the contract for patrolling the Fort Bend County’s section of the Harris County Toll Road Authority (HCTRA) and served on the Houston Galveston Area Council (HGAC) for 6 years. He remained at the Constables Office, in that position, under then Constable Troy E. Nehls for two terms (8 years) ending December 31st, 2012.
Captain Frazier attended San Jacinto Jr. College and is a graduate of the State Police Academy at the Texas Department of Public Safety. He holds numerous other certificates from the Texas Commission on Law Enforcement (TCOLE) including a Master Peace Officer and Law Enforcement Instructor Certificate.
